Analysis of die stamping stability and its influencing factors
The experience and skills of designers play a key role in the design and manufacture of moulds. Whether the design is reasonable or not, it can be confirmed through trial mold, and the mold needs to be repeatedly tested and repeated to complete. In production practice, once some moulds are put into production line, a variety of problems are often produced, which can not meet the production requirements or technical requirements of the products, cause the abnormal shutdown of the production line and bring a lot of unstable factors. Therefore, how to improve the stability of mould has become a realistic problem faced by mould manufacturing enterprises.
What is stability? Stability is divided into process stability and production stability. Process stability refers to a process plan that meets the requirements of producing qualified products. Production stability refers to the stable production capacity in the production process. Luo Baihui, the Secretary General of the International Model Association, believes that because most of the domestic mould manufacturing enterprises are small and medium enterprises, and a considerable number of these enterprises are still in the production management stage of the traditional workshop style, which often neglects the stability of the mould, which causes the long period of die development and the high cost of manufacturing, which is seriously restricted. The pace of enterprise development.
The main factors affecting the stability of die and stamping are as follows: the use of die materials, the strength requirements of the die structure, the stability of the properties of the stamping materials, the fluctuation characteristics of the material thickness, the range of material change, the resistance size of the tensile tendons, the range of the blank holder force, the selection of lubricants.
As we all know, the metal materials used in the stamping die are involved in many kinds. Because of the different functions of various parts in the mold, the requirements and the selection principles of the materials are different. Therefore, how to choose mold materials rationally becomes one of the most important tasks in mold design.
In addition to the requirement of high strength, high wear resistance and proper toughness, the material must be fully taken into consideration of the properties and production requirements of the processed products so as to achieve the stability requirements of die forming.
In the actual operation, because the mould designers tend to choose the die material by personal experience, the problem of the unstable forming of the die is often caused by improper selection of the material of the die parts.
