The research work on metal composite materials has been carried out in our country, including fiber reinforcement, particle enhancement, laminating, spray deposition and in situ formation. The progress has been made and it is becoming practical. In China, the high content SiCp/A1 composite material of pressure casting is used to make base seat instead of W-Cu base and package microwave power device. It is expected to replace a large number of materials such as W-Cu and Mo-Cu in the field of packaging.
On the basis of strengthening mechanism and preparation processing research, the development level of metal composite materials has gradually matured. In recent years, a new type of material, particle reinforced SiCp metal composite, which has high strength, super wear resistance and corrosion resistance, which can be widely used in aerospace manufacturing and automobile machinery industry, has been developed successfully in China Aluminum Shandong branch. Throughout the world, the research and application of metal composite materials mainly focus on SiC particle reinforced metal matrix composites and have made great achievements. A few countries (such as the United States, Japan and Canada) have entered the application stage, and have achieved remarkable economic benefits. Our research in this field is late, most of them are still in the laboratory stage, and the depth and breadth of the research are very limited, and the industrial research has just begun. Metal composites have been widely applied in many fields such as automobile industry, aerospace, electronics, military industry and sports since their advent. The key factors that restrict its development, such as complex process and high cost, are gradually eliminated. Many countries have established industrial scale producing metal composite factories. It is believed that in the near future, the manufacturing process of metal composite materials will be simpler, the cost will be lower, and the scope of use will be wider.
